Jakub Szlaga is an immigration attorney in Metro Detroit. Born in Gliwice, Poland, Jakub immigrated to the United States at the age of sixteen. He earned his Juris Doctor degree at Wayne State University Law School in 2013. At Wayne State, Jakub was a member of the Immigration Law Clinic, which he completed with honors.
Growing up as the son of hardworking immigrants from Poland, Jakub has a profound understanding of the daily challenges faced by the Polish community and immigrants of other backgrounds. As a result, he approaches his clients’ inquiries and concerns with the utmost empathy and seriousness.
Jakub specializes in intricate family-based immigrant visas, fiancée visas, and complex matters related to naturalization and citizenship. His legal expertise also encompasses inadmissibility issues and providing comprehensive counsel to clients seeking immigration solutions. In his law practice, Jakub is especially committed to supporting the Polish community in Michigan.
In his personal life, Jakub is a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Lillian, and a proud father to his son, Remy. He enjoys playing soccer, camping, and studying multiple languages.
