Showcasing leaders who make an impact is always inspiring.
Today, we want to introduce Cindy Luberski Cervenak, one of the Piast Institute’s 25 Leaders.
Cynthia (Cindy) Luberski Cervenak is retired from a career in retail management. She is a life long resident of Hamtramck and has volunteered in many capacities in civic, cultural, and religious organizations in the city. Cynthia was the Director of the PRCUA Gwiazda Dancers for 20 years.
After passing the Director position on to the next generation, she sews costumes for the group. This involves researching the regional costumes and keeping them authentic and appropriate for a children’s dance group. While still a Director, she was instrumental in starting the Polish Cultural Workshop for all students in PRCUA Michigan dance schools.
She is currently co-chair of the St. Florian Strawberry Festival, which continues to share its Polish roots with the Metro Detroit area.
Cynthia is also a founding member of the Friends of Historical Hamtramck/Hamtramck Historical Museum and serves as Board Treasurer.
Ms. Cervenak holds a BA in Fashion Merchandising from Wayne State University.
