Alexander Eligiusz Dziewit, 92, passed away October 26, 2021 of natural causes at the home of his daughter in Howell, MI. He was born December 1, 1928 in Hamtramck, MI, the son of Aleksander Jozef and Wladyslawa (Trzesniewska).
Alex is survived by his wife, Krystyna, and their children Mark (Carmen Benavides), Jack, Aida, and Greg (Jenine (Ladiser)) and his five grandchildren, Emma, Julian, Casimiro, Olivia and Nolan.
Alex was raised in Poland during the 1930’s, returning to the US in 1946.
He began his career in the printing/publishing business in Detroit at the age of 17.
He served as a Corporal and company clerk in the US Army from 1951-1953.
After his service, he returned to Detroit continuing a long stint at American Publishing which printed the Polish Daily News, and later served as Director of Operations with Suburban Communications Corp. of Livonia, which published the Observer & Eccentric Newspapers.
He met his loving wife Krystyna (Dymek) in Windsor, ON. Currently, they reside in Sarasota, FL. They celebrated 67 years of marriage this past August.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at noon on Saturday, November 13 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, 3100 18 Mile Rd. Sterling Heights MI 48314.

Visitation will commence at the church that morning at 11 am with a rosary at 11:30 am, prior to the mass.
