Polish Day Parade 2024, Warren, Michigan – This year’s theme honors notable Polish women.
Leading the Polish Day Parade 2024 is our esteemed Grand Marshall, Detroit WLLZ radio host Doug Podell, whose presence promises an event filled with excitement and entertainment.
This event is sponsored by the Polish American Congress—Michigan Division, whose president is Jolanta Hałaczkiewicz. Judge John M. Chmura chairs the parade committee. The PAC and the Parade committee work hard to celebrate our Polish heritage beautifully and joyfully.
This year, the parade saw diverse participants, including more organizations and politicians. The White Eagle Sports Club, Polish Scouts, the American Polish Cultural Center, and the PRCUA Dance Groups were among the most numerously represented. A pleasant surprise was the participation of the Cousino Patriot High School Marching Band, showcasing the inclusivity and community spirit of the event.
Regrettably, OLS was not represented in this year’s parade. We value their participation and will make sure they are invited in the future. I remember the years when Orchard Lake Schools were represented; they cared about Polish tradition and culture.
As we continue the tradition of Polish parades held in Hamtramck for years, we are proud to bring this celebration to the City of Warren for the third time, marking a significant chapter in our shared history.
It’s not just about being Polish; it’s about celebrating our shared heritage and history. The parade’s chairman, John Chmura, encourages everyone, regardless of their background, to join the Polish Day Parade and be part of this inclusive celebration.
