Orchard Lake Fine Art Show®

Institute for the Arts & Education is the associated 501c3 non-profit organization with focus on visual arts, cultural diversity, community enrichment and fostering art education among youth. Mark & Mary Bishchak were the Professional Artist Award Judges – Mark is an architectural designer and Mary is Hot Works print & digital ads person for 20+ years. Criteria for judging was originality, technique/execution, and booth appearance. Scores were tallied, and prizes were determined based on the highest scores.
Eighteen professional artist awards were distributed. All of the award-winning artists were welcomed by the community and congratulated by:

In addition to the cash awards, each artist below received a gorgeous, two-foot long colorful ribbon to display in his/her booth throughout the weekend and is juried into Hot Works’ 20th Orchard Lake Fine Art Show, July 29 & 30, 2023 in West Bloomfield.

As part of our commitment to bringing art education into the community, a Youth Art Competition was integrated into the art show. Sponsored by Raymond James & Associates, students in grades K-8 or ages 5-13 were encouraged to enter/her original art that was displayed in the art show duration of the event. There was $400 in prizes for Youth Art Awards presented as students were exposed to the rules and entrepreneurship opportunity of doing art shows for a living! A special “thank You” to Alfred Addo, Mixed Media Artist who was the Youth Art Judge, and Lindsay Bochenek, with Miss Lindsay’s Art Room at Steinway in Commerce:
